The easiest way for me to prove some knowledge of tech is quite dangerous.
My blog address needs a name upgrade. 60fiveonup just rolls off the tongue right? Yeah, I agree. I have owned Curiousroots.com for several years and need to figure out how to meld the two together. I purchased that name after discovering my father through DNA and feel it better reflects who I am, problem is the last time I played around in the WordPress eco system I literally killed our company website. We could never resurrect or repair it so a new one had to be created. The tutorials to achieve what I need are detailed and I’m sure very complete but the specter of a hobbled or destroyed site hang over me like an ominous cloud.
This is why you have children or smart neighbors. Both my kids are successful entrepreneurs and may be able to figure this out, although I believe they are smart enough to likely pay someone to accomplish this rather than spend the time. This brings me to my neighbor. He is the most eclectically smart person I know. When he needs to understand a challenge or flesh out a particular topic, he has a laser like focus. He has a tech background and is analytical by nature so he is the ideal candidate for this project. We have a bond through collecting vinyl music, so I think he may take pity on me…
Lisa and I took our second trip to the shooting range yesterday. We were much more relaxed than the first visit and were able to focus more on a handgun that suits her. Her arm strength is somewhat limited so the slide mechanism can be difficult for her to operate. We will keep practicing this to help her become more fluid in the action of it and find a gun she is comfortable.
In the past I have had difficulty being “in the moment” and have found myself dwelling on future things even though I am happy with what is occurring in the current tense. I enjoyed yesterday throughly and didn’t catch myself drifting into the future-a milestone of sorts I am pleased to report.
